NYOA Harescramble at Twisted Fence
On Sunday, September 1st, the NYOA series brought 926 riders to the Twisted Fence race in Moravia, NY, for a challenging harescramble event. Rain the night before created slick and muddy sections in the woods, but the open fields quickly dried out as the day progressed, transforming into dusty stretches that tested both rider and machine.
The fluctuating terrain conditions made for an unpredictable race, forcing competitors across the six classes to adapt quickly. The early mud demanded technical skill, while the later dust clouds reduced visibility and made the course even more treacherous.
Despite the tricky conditions, the event was a success, with riders showcasing endurance and grit throughout the day. Twisted Fence proved once again to be a favorite in the NYOA series.
