SMEC Supermoto Series Season Finale at OVRP: A Thrilling End to the Season
The SMEC Supermoto Series wrapped up its season with an exciting finale at OVRP in Cuddebackville, NY, on August 25th. Under the blazing summer sun, riders battled on the technical mix of dirt and pavement, pushing their skills to the limit. Despite the intense heat, fans and competitors alike enjoyed a day filled with action.
However, the race wasn’t without drama. A couple of red flags halted the action due to accidents. One red flag was for a rare occurrence where a rider’s leg got stuck between the tire and fender of another rider. Officials worked to remove the tire of the bike right on track to free the stuck rider. He was able to walk to a waiting ambulance to get checked out further.
At the end of the day, the winners were not only crowned champions of the series but also earned tickets to the 2nd year North American Supermoto Shootout in Oklahoma. An event the brings together champions from all the top Supermoto series across the USA. This season finale capped off a thrilling year of racing, leaving fans eager for what next season will bring.
